Short profile: Tracto-Technik GmbH (TT Group)
In November 1962 Tracto-Technik was founded by Dipl.-Ing. Paul Schmidt in Lennestadt-Saalhausen. In 1994 his son Wolfgang Schmidt became the sole owner of the company. Tracto-Technik GmbH has existed in its current legal form since 2000.

Tracto-Technik (TT Group) has more than 500 qualified employees around the world and exports to more than 50 countries. Five plants and seven service branches in Germany guarantee excellent service. TT also has subsidiaries in some of the most important international markets (United Kingdom, France, Australia, USA) as well as a tight net of dealers around the world. Sales are well in a double-digit million-€ range and the export share continuously grows and is at around 60 % at the moment.
Competence, innovative power, a high degree of flexibility and a maximum customer orientation – these characteristics have made Tracto-Technik one of the leading special machine manufacturers in Germany.
50 engineers provide for first-class quality in development, production and assembly, guaranteeing reliable high-technology products with long-life cycles.
Tracto-Technik (TT Group) offers its customers and partners an extensive service including spare parts supply, a tailor-made training programme and a customer magazine (Tractuell). Therefore it is no coincidence that the TT-service was assessed as excellent by its customers in a recently conducted survey.
With more than 300 patents worldwide Tracto-Technik (TT Group) is among the so-called ''Hidden Champions'' (according to the book with the same title by Prof. Hermann Simon). In addition to that Tracto-Technik belongs to the ''TOP 100'' circle of the most innovative midsize companies in Germany.
The sister company Profundis developed an internet trade portal for trenchless technologies. At www.nodig-construction.com you find everything worth knowing about the underground installation of pipes and cables, containing valuable information for planners, contractors and executing companies. The German version of the portal has already won several prizes: the “ProfNet” quality seal, the “German Service Award” and the “Top 100 Innovation Award”.
